DATE – March 19, 2012

Welcome: Circle of Service – Colleen, Dan & Emily

Invocation: Led By Colleen

Guests: Rana, Key Club Treasurer from Century High School.  They have 60 members this year and are working on the Governor’s project on Cystic Fibrosis; donated $120 to the Eliminate project; meet on Wednesdays twice a month both in the morning and after school; next project is activities for the Spring Convention. 

Happy Dollars: to benefit the Kiwanis International Eliminate Project – to eliminate maternal neonatal tetanus

  • ·         Dan’s son had complications from his diabetes, so he is still waiting for heart surgery to be scheduled. 
  • ·         Al is about to launch “successful stories” on the Diversity Council web site.  He will let us know when it is available.
  • ·         Del is happy to announce that he has three co-chairs for the Pancake Breakfast.  Thanks to Clare, Ron & Bob. 
  • ·         Happy Dollars for being back after a couple absences
  • ·         Bonnie and Jill complete their Lunch Buddies project.
  • ·         Charlie’s son’s cancer battle has stabilized

Comedy moment of the Day – Dan – Be sure to differentiate speed limit and Hwy numbers!!  J


  • ·         Dick let us know that Paul Austinson is having surgery today.


  • ·         Pancake Breakfast, May 5th – Del Lawson brought tickets and posters for anyone who needs them.  
  • ·         Charlie is willing to send out books of tickets to referrals from Club members – please send him your contacts. 
  • ·         Sign Up sheet will soon be available on web page – thanks Al

Community Activities:

  • ·         Kiwanis One Day – April 14 – Stewartville Kiwanis Food for Kidz – members have made a donation directly to the project.  Checks can be made out directly to Food for Kidz. A reminder that all donations need to be received by April 6.  Contact Emily for more information.  Rochester Kiwanis shift will be 9:30 – noon.  You can sign up next week. 
  • ·         A Litter Bit Better sign up for West River Parkway Cleanup the week of April 21-28 – need chairperson. 
  • ·         Family Fun Nite – April 24th – need chairperson
